Iceland was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. I went with the program Moondance Adventures, and we started the first week and a half going around and viewing all the really cool tourist things like all the hot springs, the Blue Lagoon, and others. We had a wonderful tour guide, Kata, who showed us around her gorgeous country of Iceland, and cooking us delicious meals.

For the last 4 days, we backpacked a total of 110km, which was definitely the most difficult part of the trip, despite the beautiful views and lakes. I spent one night crying in my tent because I was so exhausted, but with the support of my friends and awesome leaders, I made it through. We spent the first couple hours of our days trekking, or hiking, and when we finally arrived at our campsite, we would play cards, explore, or just hang out in our tents.

This experience taught me how far I could push myself. By the end of the trekking, My feet were blistered and because my boots didn't fit properly, they pushed on a tendon and made my ankle hurt like hell. However, I persevered and learned that I still had fun while in pain. I also learned so much about the people on my trip and will remember them forever.
